I am a 27 year old runner from Southern California.
In 2016, I challenged myself to complete a half marathon for the first time. I followed Hal Higdon’s Novice plan and completed the Wild Horse Half Marathon in Chula Vista, CA. It was a hot day and a difficult race but it taught me that with enough preparation and dedication I can accomplish almost anything. In 2017, I completed two half marathons.
In late 2018, I fractured my ankle in a bouldering accident. As of 2019, I am finally getting back to running.
I work as a software engineer. During my free time I like to lift weights, play video games, hike, rock climb, and watch basketball (Go Lakers!). I also enjoy looking at pictures of cute animals on the internet.
Someday, I’d like to conquer all 26.2 miles of a marathon but I’ll settle for a half for now.
This blog originally built using Ghost, and was recently rebuilt using Jekyll, a static site generator. In the future, I may post on my experience migrating from Ghost to Jekyll.
